Heidelberg & Palace of Schwetzingen
In the morning we start with Romantic Heidelberg at the river Neckar, one of the most beautiful Cities in Germany. Visit of the world famous castle ruins, Gothic and Renaissance buildings. We show you the large courtyard, the mighty terrace and one of the largest wine barrel in the world. Visit of the medieval town center: The Old Bridge, Karlstor, the Church of the Holy Spirit and much more.
After some short free time we continue our way to beautiful Palace of Schwetzingen.The precious building has once been the summer residence of the Palatinate Electors. This means, it is located in an area of very mild climate.
On our visit of the residence the guide will show us the rooms and halls with their orginial furniture from the 18th century. Even more famous: the fantastic gardens of the Residence, layed out in the French and English style - they are without equal in Europe. On with our tour alongside the lovely landsape of the German Wine Road in the Palatinate. We will pass the picturesque vintage towns Neustadt, Deidesheim and Bad Dürkheim. Your guide will tell you the history of one of the oldest historic landscapes in Europe. Although there will not be not enough time to see all those wonderful sites on this route. Return to Frankfurt and arrive here at approx 6:00 - 6:30pm
